Tart Cherry Recovery Smoothie 

Tart cherries are an awesome anti inflammatory food and are a wonderful post workout carb source. This smoothie is perfect for after a hard workout, or as a dessert. 

Ingredients:

1/2 cup frozen tart cherries 

1 teaspoon chia seeds

1 scoop protein powder 

3/4 cups almond milk 

Blend all ingredients until smooth.

*I used a vanilla protein powder here, but this may be just as delicious with chocolate. Choose any liquid you like. I chose almond milk, but feel free to use whole milk for more calories, or water for less! 

 You could also use less liquid and make a thicker mixture to use in a smoothie bowl. Top with more cherries, shredded coconut and nuts of your choice!
