“Motivate. Hydrate. Feel great.”
Today’s challenge is to drink more water! So many of us don’t drink nearly enough water as we should, especially if it’s cold out.
Drinking more water will help:
- you lose weight faster and keep it off
- keep your skin healthy and beautiful
- your body fight infection and flush out toxins
- keep your heart healthy
- prevent joint problems
- boost your energy levels
- keep your digestive system working properly
- reduce your risk of cancer
- keep your focus and productivity up
Your goal for water intake should be half of your bodyweight in ounces per day. (for example, a 120 lb. person should be consuming a minimum of 60 ounces of water per day.) These amounts should increase if its hot out, or if they are exercising.
The best way to get this much water down is to keep a water bottle with you and just sip all day. Add lemon/lime to your water for extra benefits and to add some flavor if plain water doesn’t do it for you.
Figure out how much water you should be drinking and try to consume that today. Stay close to the bathroom if this isn’t anywhere near the amount you normally drink. Continue to drink this everyday if you can. The potty breaks will decrease and the benefits will increase, I promise.
